The Chinese Malaysian Wedding ceremony Year 2020 (Bride side)

Throwback to early January 2020, now only I have some time doing this post for my memories, future and maybe for your inspiration. Believe it or not my wedding preparation took about 3 months time only which everything's was done by our self. So in this post, I would like to share about my Bride side of Chinese Malaysian Wedding ceremony in the morning session and tips for Bride to be especially. Be in mind this could be a long post with many photo taken during the event.

Tips to plan your wedding:- Think of if you can handle the planning work, stress while argument will happen then better hired a professional wedding planner. For me, I do feel the stress part like very stress but at the same time I'm quite capable and satisfied because most of the things are hand touch by myself.

Bride preparation

In the very early morning, I already need to woke up to prepare because bridal make up and hair do will need about 3 hours to complete the look. It's a must to hire a Makeup Artist on that day and also you must have try a trial look first before the actual day. I got her from Facebook Ame Makeup studio, Kuala Lumpur.

Tips to hire Makeup Artist:- Look into their profile work especially on bridal look and ask yourself whether you like it? For Chinese bride we do like natural yet enhancing the look especially on the eye part. Know your feature and most importantly is to communicate with your Makeup Artist. How do you feel like you want to look on the actual day and how she think if it's suitable for you.

For my bridal gown I opt for red color and it's something western meet east look. I like modern gown style just like the white but with the Chinese wedding elements in it brings out the special kind of. Bought it from Taobao and the price is affordable if to compare rental price in Malaysia. The quality wise it's acceptable for me and doesn't make me so heavy and hard to walk around (important tips too).

Tips to find your dream bridal gown:- Imagine what would you like to look or style on actual day but don't forget to count in your groom style too. So that you got that kind of matching series.

Bridesmaids preparation

Here I would like to say thank you again for my Bridesmaids team for making it and cooperate with me on that day. You know you all are my most honorable person in the list from family and best friends ever. I also had prepared a special beauty gifts box for each of them. Hope you ladies are liking it.

Tips to handle your Bridesmaids:- List down your most favorite person, ask them first for their availability and then only invite each of them personally before forming a group chat. Tell them what's your plan like and asking cooperation. Number of Bridesmaids is depends on you but to remind you the smaller the number the easier to communicate and also everyone got the chance to catch nice photo.

Bride veil ceremony

In the Chinese Wedding ceremony, there are a few customs that need to be follow. So to ease the flow of the day, we insisted to hire a Groom chaperone (Dai Kam Gong). Having him around making us less stress by making everyone laugh and happy event. I got him from my friends referrals, Facebook Mun Mun BB.

Tips to hire Dai Kam:- Whether is male or female Dai Kam as long as you have seen their works before this then you can consider them. Most importantly communicate with your Dai Kam on the itinerary first and items that you need to prepare. Just that do not buy everything's as wedding shop trying to sell you (Dai Kam tips).

I opt for the red veil to match and also visible type. Well I want to see things is happening and also look
more nicer for photo right.

Groom arrival &
Gate crash challenge

In the Chinese Wedding customs, groom will go to invite bride back to his house. Sound smooth but before that, the Groom with Groomsmen are tested on some challenge upon arrival by the Bridesmaids team. That's when the fun begin.

Tips for the games:- Both side Bridesmaids and Groomsmen must be brief about the itinerary earlier and time allocation of it so that you can have a smooth flow while having fun.

A male family member from Bride side to open the wedding car door after fire crackers.

Bridesmaids are ready. I have prepared a microphone for them to ease their task. Thanks to June for the borrowing.

Groom side must have a negotiator.

Groomsmen and their new toys.

Bridesmaids checking Ang Pau. "Ladies if not satisfied don't open gate yet," I remembered saying this
over the video call. But I think they got cheated.

Fake money prepared by Groomsmen for fun.

Finally received the actual money.

Poor Groomsmen you have to clean up the mess on the floor first.

After gate opened, 2nd challenge for the Groom prepared handmade by the Bride itself.

Despite playing all the nasty games, I want all of them to feel clean and white as what they're wearing it. The most importantly is making this vows big with hand written by the Groom so that I can hang it around in our new house later. One things to be praise on, Groom did it with neat hand written despite his usual ugly style.

Groom finally can enter Bride room

Groom must bring fresh flowers to Bride. Thanks to his friends Mun Jie for helping him to get one.

Last tricks for the Groom, find the Bride shoes first. I opt for the less heel type so that my foot are not
too painful to walk around for the whole day.

Tea ceremony

In Chinese wedding customs, tea ceremony is very important as paying respects to the parents and also the older family members. In return, we get Ang Pau. While those are younger, we will give Ang Pau.

Tips to prepare tea ceremony:- Find a good spot usually at living room area for tea ceremony. Prepare a Chinese wedding tea set with tea drinks and also basket to carry back to Groom house after that.

Bride leaving house

The last step for Bride is where a red umbrella is needed to shield away from negative energy. While a red fan to be throw out from the window car as symbolic of throwing bad habits away and prepare the Bride for the new chapter of life.

Tips before leaving house:- To ease the flow of the day, the Bride must have already packed wedding related items to bring to Groom house. Ask help from your Bridesmaids or Groomsmen earlier if they need to help carry somethings. Also assign Bridesmaids to sit in Groomsmen car when leaving to Groom house.

Alright overall, my Bride side schedule took about 2 hours as planned and it was smooth. Luckily it was a good morning weather too. Now heading to Groom house for next morning session (to be continue in the next post).

Enliven Herbal Hair Masks safe my problem (Setia Alam branch review)

I always wanted to have a beautiful hair, yes you know what I mean. Other than just keeping long hair then cut different style of hair then hair colouring but before that bleach it first then hair treatment then use many kinds of shampoo, conditioner, treatment at home then putting up different styling every day.. (phew) These are female challenge but I bet male also did almost the same things. After all the hassle we have done on our hair, do you ever notice what happened to our hair or scalp other than just want to look beautiful or handsome? I started to experience having beautiful hair for a few weeks after a hair colouring done. Then afterwards my hair texture become dry and I started to dislike it especially the bleaching part so I chopped it off. Routine hair care is a must to do at home but then I started to notice white hair, hair loss, dandruff are more often seen then before. It's started to make me feel more worry. But until I find out Enliven Hair Care..
