Creating a self-care routine that incorporates zen, minimalist, greenery, recycling, sustainability, and all good vibes can greatly enhance your well-being while also contributing positively to the environment. Here are some ideas to help you get started. I'm inspired by a self-care workshop organized by our lovely mamasan Tammy, a Blogger and The Butterfly Project founder.
1. Wear an Airy, Comfortable, and Minimalist style
Embrace a minimalist style by wearing items that truly bring you joy and purpose like comfortable pieces. Also before making a purchase next time, ask yourself if you truly need the item and if aligns with your values of sustainability and minimalism. Let's practice mindful consumption by being aware of the environmental impact of your choices.
2. A Greenery Oasis at Taman Hati, Petaling Jaya
Surround yourself with indoor plants to improve air quality and create a calming atmosphere. At Taman Hati, you can learn which plants thrive in indoor environments with minimal care. Let's create a small indoor garden or dedicate a space for potted plants that bring a touch of nature into your living area.
3. The Good Vibes and Feeling Zen by Patting Cats
Taman Hati has a calming and inspiring atmosphere. We can practice mindfulness to cultivate a sense of inner peace and clarity. Engage in activities that bring you joy and relaxation like patting cats at Taman Hati. The cats are so furry, adorable, and friendly.
4. Positive Social Environment
Surround yourself with positive people in your life. Engage in acts of kindness and giving to spread positive energy to others and strengthen your sense of connection with the world.
5. Take a Bite and Drinks
Take your time to enjoy food and drinks. The key is you do not need to eat fast and rush like in your weekday life.
6. Plant a Tree using Recycle glass jar
Reduce waste by opting for reusable items such as glass jars to plant a tree. We got to channel our creativity into planting a succulent which turned the old glass jar into new and functional pieces.
7. Sustainable Practices by bringing your own Tote Bag
Incorporate sustainable habits into your daily routine such as bringing your own tote bag to fill up goodies. Here, I need to give a big shout-out to the brands that supported the green community, The Butterfly Project.
Iberica Spirit - they pick our potatoes in different fields in Spain and the south of France and guarantee the non-use of chemical or artificial products in the process of making the final chips. Ig @ibericaspirit_malaysia
Monin Asia - is committed to reaching 100% of natural ingredients and to developing reduced sugar and no added sugar ranges. Ig @monin_asia
The Wood Place - a woodworking workshop at Petaling Jaya where they created a coaster from extra wood with The Butterfly Project logo to support the green community. Ig @thewoodplace_my
Pudu Ria Florist KL - Flowers make me happy and at Pudu Ria, they packed fresh flowers and deliver them to you on the same day. Ig @puduriafloristkl
Yves Rocher - committed to natural ingredients, all bottles are made with 100% recycled plastic and with the Yves Rocher Foundation's Plant for Life program, 100 million trees were planted in 2020 with 1 in 3 seconds. Ig Ig @yvesrochermy
Remember that self-care is a personalized journey so tailor these ideas to fit your preferences and lifestyle. By integrating these elements into your daily routine you can create a harmonious and sustainable way of living that supports both your well-being and the health of the planet.
